Application and Admission
Hoaloha Kai School strives to enroll children whose families are committed to our mission and vision and willing to develop a partnership with the school.
Admissions Process
There are four steps to our admissions process for children age 6 years and younger. Please see the "Checklist for Elementary Applicants" or call the school directly.
1. Campus Tour
Tours offer an overview of Montessori history, philosophy and curriculum in the classroom setting. This is an excellent opportunity to learn much about Montessori education and Holaoha Kai Montessori School in a short amount of time.
2. Application
Submit an admissions application with a one-time non-refundable application fee of $60, due February 1 for the 2013 - 2014 school year. We will continue to accept applications after the due date if spaces are available or will be held in our active wait pool list.
3. Classroom Observations
Take a glimps into our school environment and become familiar with a Montessori classroom and observe how the environment, Directress and children interact and work seamlessly with eachother. You must complete a campus tour and submit an application before scheduling a classroom observation.
4. Parent Education Class
Prospective families are required to attend these classes to learn more about Hoaloha Kai Montessori School and our support of the Montessori philosophy. Parent participation in these classes are highly valued when children are considered for placement.
Tuition and Fee Schedule 2012-2013
Tuition is based on a ten-month academic year (Aug – May). Tuition is payable annually, by the semester, or monthly.

Enrollment preference is given to children enrolled in the Parent-Infant Program, siblings of enrolled students, children of alumni, and families with Montessori experience. Admission is not guaranteed in these categories.
We offer programs for students from Toddler – 6th grade, and seek to have a diverse student and parent body. We welcome families of any race, color, gender, nationality, ethnic origin or sexual orientation.
